Concept
Azadi is my living place, not a bnb, not a service. It's my pleasure to share it when I don't need it. Use it with care and respect, like it's yours. I might not be arround/available when you arrive : autonomy is important, call me if you have any doubt, but please don't call for everything :) I don't want to make any financial profit of it. If you wan't to participate somehow (but it's not mandatory), make a present to the house. Something missing or something you would have loved to found during your stay.
🔑 Arrival
You might have received the key somehow. The address is : 39 rue Schiaffini 13003 Marseille The appartment is located on the 5th floor. My name is written on the door. Be informed that their is no elevator... but a sea view :)
- WiFi: Antoine_AP_4G
- Password: papepipopu
🧑🤝🧑 Neighbours
There is a friendly group of neighbours in the building. You might encounter some of them in the stairs or on the terrace. among them : 4th floor : Etienne Architect and comic book artist 3rd floor : Zaco market vendor and Drissa musician
🌅 Terrasse
That's the selling point of Azadi. it's shared with all the neighbours Somethimes they have dinner at night. They might invite you. Bring something to share and don't be shy :) On the opposite, if you organise dinner with friends it's always nice to propose them to join. They are comprehensive about making noise at night. so if it's too loud and you need to sleep just tell them. If you organise something, be aware that someone is leaving under your feet and can ear everything. Also, don't leave anything when you leave. The wind can be intense and stuffs can disapear. Also bring back your trash and cigarette buts. We put a lot of energy to make it nice and cosy :) Also, sunsets are crazy most of the time.
🪟 Windows
When in the main room, the left side of the left window is stuck. If you open it, you will have hard time closing it. Better not do it :) Pro tip : leave the blind closed from 7am until sunset during summer helps keeping the place at a decent temperature...
☕ Kitchen
As you can see, I love cooking. So kitchen is the biggest space of Azadi.
Door
This kitchen has a massive moving door. It saves tons of space inside the appartment. Manipulate it slowly to avoid anything to drop.
Cooktop(s)
The main cooktop is a professional one. It's pleasant to use but can surprise you on first uses. Its has 10 levels, but 99% of the time I don't go more than 4. To start it press the on button, then 1-10 and adjust to the desired level. If needed their is a second cooktop in the table.
Fridge
Use anything in the fridge. When leaving if no one came after you (or if you are not sure), leave it empty to avoid mushroom culture.
Dry food
The middle drawer in the kitchen contain dry food. Use anything you find in it and leave your leftovers for the next ones.
Trash
it's in the door under the sink. The Communal bin is located rue Fortuné Jourdan. It has a recycling bin, a normal bin, and a glass bin. Please take out all the trash when you leave.
Knifes
Some of the knifes have a high level of carbon. They cut well, but they rust. When you clean them, please dry them.
Pans
These are my grand mother's. I love them so much ❤️ The black pans are naturaly non sticky They also rust quickly, so dry them after use and don't cook acid/tomatoes ingredients in them. If you are not confident in using them their is an inox one hanging at the top of the door.
Oven
Azadi offer a small pizza oven. It's in the rolling trolley, mainly because cooking pizza inside is not a good idea. You can use it as a normal oven for cakes, grilled vegetables, but if you go over 200°C better do that outside.
🚿 Bathroom
I'll leave you towels on the bed. Close the door when you shower to avoid creating a swiming pool in the entrance :) Pay attention that sometime, the water tends to go behind the door if you don't close it. Please leave the window opened after use to avoid moisture. Be informed that the shower is visible from the terrasse. If you need more intimacy, put a towel on it
🍽️ table
It's a "connected" table. Inside you'll find a second cooktop, the wifi modem, chargers... It needs to be electricaly plugged in to function. The table as two wheels. so you can drag it arround the space. Just lift the side with the electrical connector and move it.
🛏️ Bed space
I will prepare the topmost bed for you. The reading lights have no switch. Just put the bulb down and they will shine. If not, it's most likely because the main switch in the entry is off. There is a socket to put phone chargers on the right side of the bed. The blue boxes contain my wardrobe. Normally nothing to do with them :) Under the bed is some storage and an extra single bed for friends visiting. It's also a cosy place to read books and meditate. Please ask if you want to borrow books. Some of them have a high personnal value.
🗝️ Keys
You will have a pair of key. Please don't loose it as it's an exensive nightmare to get a new one. If someone's visit you, their is a second key that you can throw from the window to avoid stepping 5 floors

⚠️ Before leaving
- Inform me that you are leaving. I might have instruction for you
- Wash bedsheets and towels you used, dry them outside (beware the wind, use clothespin) and put them back on
- Take out rubbish
- Empty fridge unless you are informed that someone will sleep the day after you
- Check that the bathroom is dry. If not leave at least the door opened to avoid moisture
- Close kitchen door
- Switch off lights (even the one under the bed), check the fan/heater
- Close all windows / blinds in summer
- Replace anything broken, leave cofee, salt, rice... be nice whith the next person coming
- Leave the space as you found it ❤️
- I would prefer not to leave the keys inside and slam the door. So we need to find a solution : leaving them at my workshop, to a friend, let's communicate :)
